The name...

So I guess I should give an explanation of where the name "Bristol" came from.  Last year I made a neck-warmer.  Why?  Because my neck was cold when I was snowboarding.  It had this fake leather outer, with this fake fur lining.  Basically this neck-warmer was pretty sweet.  My fellow instructors wanted some, so i made a grand total of four.  This took way too long because I was doing all the sewing by hand.  On top of the time, it looked like I had a blood glucose problem because of all the times I had sent the needle deep into my thumb.  I decided to stop making them, but not before one of my buddies forced me to come up with a name and design a logo.  The name came from a family history of fishing our of Bristol Bay up in Alaska.  It flowed off my tongue pretty well and I thought the logo I designed looked pretty cool.  It probably seems pretty childish to throw a logo like that on a blog, but hell, I think we could all embrace our inner child a little more these days.

Here is a picture I took last week.

I am getting more and more into photography, and plan on putting up some sweet pictures this season as I get to know Mount Hood Meadows.

For those who don't know...

This is the film that blew my mind.  Everything about it from the quotes, to the cameras, and lets not forget the insane level of riding, just make me feel like I just popped a Viagra.  Shaun White also was not in it, so that is like a little bonus.

The time of year when I start getting giddy!

Maybe I am the only one, but starting in the range of September and October, I start losing sleep on the potentialities that can become realities in the winter to follow.  I recently went to the premier of The Art of Flight at McCaw Hall in Seattle, WA.  This film made me feel like it was going to be my first year snowboarding all over again.  I'm sure everyone can relate to that feeling you get when you see someone do something that in all logic, shouldn't be possible to do.  As the season approaches, I want to do as Travis Rice said, and experience life for myself.
